What is ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable)?
In order to protect you from unnecessary exposure to radiation, LLU/LLUMC has developed an ALARA program - designed to keep exposure "As Low As Reasonably Achievable". The aspects of the ALARA Program that affect you are simple:

be able to identify sources of radiation; and

know how to protect yourself.
