The Office of Environmental Health & Safety's vision is to provide leadership and a safe, comfortable environment for employees, faculty, students, patients and visitors in all the environments of our campus. By this means, we seek to:

• Maximize the clinical success of our health care professionals;
• Advance the research of our scholars; 
• Strengthen the education of our students in the health care professions; and
• Ensure recovery from any event which may cause disruption of service.

We recognize that achieving regulatory compliance is only the first step in fulfilling our part of the organization’s vision. To further this, we believe our mission is to:

• Minimize the existence of unsafe conditions;
• Assist the organization in exceeding regulatory compliance;
• Partner with regulatory agencies and vendors to determine and meet future needs;
• Ensure the sustainability of our organization
• Build a “Safety First” culture through training and education of staff, faculty and students at LLUH.
