Radiation Safety
Our Purpose
The Office of Radiation Safety (ORS) supports the safety culture of LLUH by providing policies, procedures, controls, and services to maintain radiation exposure to staff, visitors, and patients As Low As Reasonably Achievable. A comprehensive Radiation Safety Program has been implemented with the goal of ensuring compliance with applicable Federal, State, and accreditation requirements. To help achieve this goal, ORS facilitates the safe use of radiation sources in medicine, research, and education by providing relevant professional and technical support in both ionizing and non-ionizing radiation areas.
