Our Purpose
The Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) Program at Loma Linda University Medical Center is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team providing quality care to patients with severe Heart Failure along with support and education for their families. Our department provides assistance to patients with Heart Assist Devices for permanent and temporary support. The care is based upon the core values of our institution: Teamwork, Excellence, Compassion, Integrity and Wholeness. It is through the applications of these values that the staff are able to achieve optimal patient and family outcomes in a healthy working environment.
