NICU

Our Purpose

The Loma Linda University Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is an 84-bed tertiary referral center that serves critically ill infants and their families in the Riverside and San Bernardino counties. This state-of-the-art facility provides all subspecialty surgical and consultation services, including a neonatal ECMO program and an infant cardiac transplantation program. The LLUCH neonatal transport team is involved in over 1/3rd of all infants admitted to our NICU. Our programs and resources attempt to maximize health care access for infants in our region. Our goal is to reduce complications and infant mortality and to improve quality of life through prevention and prompt intervention.
