Temporary Work Assignment Program

The TWA program was created to provide up to 180 calendar days of temporary work for employees with temporary work restrictions from an industrial (job related) injury when the employee’s home department is unable to accommodate those restrictions.

The temporary work assignment is provided within the same entity (LLUMC, LLU, LLUHC, LLUBMC or LLUCH) as the home department and the assignment is within the employee’s documented work restrictions.

The TWA program allows employees to continue to work and receive their regular salary as they receive medical treatment and recover from their injury.
