Acute Adolescent & Neurology
Our Purpose
Unit 9C is the Adolescent and Neurology/EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring) unit comprising of 28 beds. The unit provides 24-hour nursing care which is specifically geared towards the adolescent population and patients with neurology diagnoses ages 0-21 years of age. The care is tailored towards meeting the physical, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual needs of the patients and their families. The nursing staff takes great pride in the care they give their patients and families. The multidisciplinary team manages every patient as their first priority maintaining the values and mission of the Children’s Hospital. Some commonly treated conditions include diabetes, overdose, seizures, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, lupus, cystic fibrosis, severe malnutrition, and encephalitis.
This website is intended for use by staff (nurses, patient care assistants, and secretaries) and physicians of Loma Linda hospital and associated health care facilities.
