Waste Pickup/Radioactive Waste Container Delivery

The Office of Radiation Safety provides containers for radioactive waste. All radioactive waste, whether laboratory or patient waste, must be placed in the appropriate waste container. Radioactive waste should be segregated by type and half-life.

For patient waste, white 10-gallon containers are available in the biohazard rooms in the Medical Center. These containers are labeled with the international radiation symbol. Please call the Office at extension 14003 to request new containers or to have used containers picked up.
