Data Governance and Analytics

The Data Governance and Analytics departments assist the organization with data capture, data provisioning, and data analysis to help influence operational improvements. Driven by mandatory requirements and the potential to improve quality and reduce the cost of our services, we help manage the “big data” that holds the promise of supporting a wide range of functions, including among others clinical decision support, disease surveillance, and population health management This is accomplished through various systems of engagement, including business intelligence (BI) tools, that make it easy for analysts to explore the data and look for useful oddities or trends.

Our Vision

Our vision is to promote and assist Loma Linda University Health in being a data driven organization. Whether its information to help clinical staff make the day-to-day decisions that influence treatment protocols, or providing leadership the macro views of the organization’s health, our team is committed to providing meaningful, reliable and impactful data. We strive to further the mission of the organization to continue the healing and teaching ministry of Jesus Christ by providing critical information to our stakeholders, anytime and anywhere they need it.
