Healing Hands Grant FAQ

Departments who have had Healing Hands honorees represented in their area will be eligible to apply for grant funding.

Initiatives that will improve the patient experience which would otherwise not be covered by the department’s budget.

Multiple grants totaling up to $20,000 once a year.

Departments are able to submit one application per year.

• Adult Cardiac Services (7100, 7200, 7300): headphones/ear buds for patients to be able to watch television without disturbing a neighboring patient trying to sleep; promotes “quietly healing” environment, increases patient satisfaction scores (Cost: $1,000).
• Acute Care Pediatrics (5100, 5200, 5300): additional blood pressure machines so multiple patient vitals can be taken at once (Cost: $1,500).
• BMC Adult & Youth Intensive Outpatient Programs: pens, notebooks and art materials for use in group therapy sessions (Cost: $500).

Projects will be vetted through a reviewing committee, comprised of leaders across campus. Final decision will be made through administration.
