Healing Hands Grant Application & Process

OVERVIEW

The PES Grant was established to use funds collected in support of ‘Area of Greatest Need’ to give departments an opportunity to improve patient experience in a way that would not be impacted through the department budget.

Process

1. Departments that have a Healing Hands Honoree within the last fiscal year are eligible to apply for the grant. List sorted by Department and Name - 2021  | 2020  | 2019
2. Supports initiatives that enhance the patient and family experience
3. Out of $20,000, awards are selected in December to support grants from a variety of departments. Applications are due between October 1^st - 31^st.
4. Multiple initiatives are often selected by the committee
5. Grants must be preapproved by department leadership to ensure it is an item/project that can be implemented.
6. Submit Application We will activate and de-activate the application as needed.

• Radiation Medicine: Hip Chairs  $1,712

• Children’s Hospital Antepartum: Activities and games  $1,400

Fall of 2020

• Behavioral Medical Center: 2 TV’s and outdoor games $3,163.57
• East Campus Hospital U1100 Acute Rehab: Art Supplies $1,500
• Children’s Hospital U5000 Acute Care: Sensory Support items and Virtual Reality Goggles $1,400
• Family Palliative Care: Teaching Dolls $1,486.95
• Family Medicine: 10 Pocket Talkers $1,450
