Q1 2023 Disaster Exercise

Q1 2023 Disaster Exercise:  11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on March 22, 2023

Supply chain shortages present unique challenges to healthcare operations.  Utilizing an incident command system approach can benefit complex organizations in prioritizing limited resources and maintaining system-wide situational awareness.  This table-top exercise will focus on business continuity in the face of supply chain shortages, while utilizing incident command system principles in a virtual command center environment.

LLUH disaster administrators, disaster liaisons, and select departments will participate in a scenario driven table-top exercise with the goal of maintaining continued patient care.

Objectives include:

  • Apply Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) principles and tools in managing a critical supply chain shortage
  • Identify organizational priorities that maintain continuity of patient care
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate business continuity priorities to internal and external stakeholders
  • Utilize the resource request process to escalate needs to the county, region, or state level

Participation in the Q1 2023 Supply Chain Shortage/Business Recovery table-top exercise is by invitation.  Please contact Emergency Management at LLUHprepared@llu.edu if you would like to be a participant.
