Scrub System Side-by-Side Difference

The 2 systems do not link together. To avoid losing credits from either account, rule of thumb: return scrubs to the same location you took them from. Staff who will be moving between Vintage and TMC will have 2 separate accounts.

HINSHAW (A-Level and OR off-sites at : CH, SH, EC, OSC):

TMC (TROESH MEDICAL CAMPUS) only (for individual depts):

Cintas - 2 Types of Account:

  1. OR Staff – maximum 5 credits (1 credit = 1 piece of scrub)
  2. Non-OR – maximum 3 credits (1 credit = 1 piece of scrub)

ScrubEx - 2 Types of Account:

  1. OR staff: Max 2 ½ credits (1 credit = 1 complete set that includes a top and pants, the ½ credit is for a jacket.
  2. Non-OR: Max 1.5 credits (1 credit for 1 set of scrubs and ½ credit for a jacket).

Cintas returns will allow 1 piece returned for 1 credit.

Wait 3-5 seconds after each return for the system to give a credit update that your credits were returned correctly.

ScrubEx returns: Scrub set must be returned as a pair (1 item on either side of the return drawer bin) to get 1 credit back. Wait 3-5 seconds after each return for the system to give a credit update that your credits were returned correctly. Returns are designated. Scrubs must be designated as “Scrubs” and a Jacket as a “Jacket”.

Size Selection: Top, pants & jacket can be different sizes.

Scrub Size Change: Staff can choose the size for any item at the machine.

Size Selection: 1 size for scrub set (top & pants). Jacket can be a different size.

Scrub Size Change: Send an email to Debbie and cc Maria & Alex.

Scrubs Dispensed: Scrubs are dispensed individually; size can be mixed.

Scrubs Dispensed: Scrubs are dispensed as a set (scrub top and pants are together – same size, no mixed sizes available).

Scrub Access Issue (for both systems): If a set of scrubs is needed immediately (NOTE:  Do NOT go to the Linen Dept, they will not / do not provide scrubs):

  1. During Business Hours:
    5:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Mondays – Fridays

    • Call EVS at ext 44326 and ask for Maria (Linen Supervisor) or covering Supervisor.
    • For OR EMPLOYEES ONLY: Contact OR Charge RN at the OR Front Desk and request for a loaner set of scrubs (all OR locations have been provided a “scrub badge” with extra credits) or several OR employees (referred to as “super users”) have been set-up with extra credits, just for this purpose.
    • ALL OTHERS (clinical staff/student/resident/contract staff): can request a set of disposable scrubs from Central Services. You will need to provide your cost center to receive a set of disposable scrubs.
  2. After Business Hours, Weekends and/or LLUH recognized Holidays:
    • Call EVS at ext 44326 and request for an On-Duty EVS Supervisor.
    • Please provide the following information:
      • The location/campus where issue occurred (ie: 1st Floor TMC, ER Dept).
      • How many items did you returned and/or a short description of what happened?
      • If you received an error message, include the error message along with any number(s) listed with the error message.

CREDIT Discrepancy (for both systems):  Credit discrepancies must be reported within a 2-week timeframe.

  1. During Business Hours (listed below), Call EVS at ext 44326 and ask for Maria (Linen Supervisor) or covering Supervisor..

New/Replacement Badge:

If you have received a new or replacement badge, send an email with your new badge # (6-digits located on the back of your badge, first 6 numbers in the string of number located at the bottom) to Debbie and cc Alex and Maria (see emails listed below). Scrub Access are not transferred to a new badge. We will need to program your new badge into the system.
