Workstation Assessments & Department In-Services
Workstation Assessments
Assessments are free of charge and generally take 45 to 60 minutes and include the following:
- Training in neutral work postures that minimize exposure to risk factors for Musculoskeletal Disorders.
- Identification of postural risk factors
- Workstation modifications to minimize exposure to risk factors
- Recommendations for posture corrections, proper equipment usage and equipment when necessary.
To request an assessment: supervisors / managers or their designee can complete and submit the following:
When the request is submitted, a Pre-assessment Questionnaire and Pre-Assessment Discomfort Survey will be forwarded to the employee via email. Once the employee completes and submits these two questionnaires, the employee and their supervisor will be sent an invitation through Outlook for an assessment.
Department In-Services
In-services are free of charge and are generally 20 to 30 minutes. Presentation includes:
- Explanation of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD’s), risk factors, symptoms and reporting
- Training in neutral work postures that minimize exposure to risk factors for MSD’s
- Handouts
