Standards

Information Services (HS) and Information Security standards have been established in order to:

  • facilitate the compatibility and interoperability of the applications and systems
  • protect the computing assets of the institution
  • maximize efficiency
  • ensure the protection of private and confidential data

  • Information Services (HS) Technology Standards: Standards established by Information Services (HS) to facilitate the compatibility and interoperability of the applications and systems co-existing at LLUMC.
  • Information Security Minimum Standards: Standards established by Information Security to help ensure data security. Covers Access Control, Passwords, Network, Technology Systems, Application, and Encryption requirements and standards for technology at LLUMC. References in the document include applicable HIPAA security rule section.
  • Connecting to LLUH-SAFE network: LLUMC will be providing a wireless network for Staff, Associates, Faculty, and Employees called LLUH-SAFE. This wireless network will provide LLUH an encrypted, authenticated wireless network that may be used for basic Internet connectivity.
  • Resources Accessible by LLUH-SAFE Users: this document highlights the allowed access groups as well as other relevant information regarding accessing this network.
