Organ Sharing & Procurement Agencies

Only designated departments and personnel may share information with an organ procurement agency. In accordance with applicable policy, appropriate departments and designated personnel may use or disclose PHI to organ procurement organizations or other entities engaged in the procurement, banking, or transplantation of cadaveric organs, eyes, or tissue of the purpose of facilitating organ, eye or tissue donation and transplantation.
