Preceptor Program

Preceptors serve as the entry level into leadership within LLUH, as such this is an important role in which one learns and grows as a professional. As leaders, preceptors inspire and support learning and help retain our employees. We expect that all staff at an academic teaching hospital precept employees, students and observers. Those who wish to serve as core preceptors of new hires or are recommended by a Manager or Educator shall familiarize themselves with the Preceptor Program. The Preceptor Program consists of:

In addition, it is recommended that the Preceptor include the precepting experience as part of their professional portfolio.
