Step 2

Once you arrive for your appointment, a receptionist will check you in at the front desk. You will need to bring your insurance card, Photo ID, immunization records, and medications (list or bottles). A component of your visit will involve verification of insurance authorization for the hospital or surgery center. Your PATS appointment may take approximately 90-120 minutes or more, if testing is indicated.

Step 3

Our staff will talk with you and answer any questions you may have about what to expect before, during, and after surgery. A nurse practitioner or resident physician will ask questions about your health history to evaluate your needs for a safe anesthetic experience. If necessary, we will order pertinent testing such as an electrocardiogram (ECG), blood tests and or chest X-ray. You will also speak with a registered nurse in preparation for your surgery.
