Vaccines / Immunizations
Vaccine Information Statements(VISs) are information sheets produced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that explain to vaccine recipients, their parents, or their legal representatives both the benefits and risks of a vaccine. Federal law requires that VISs be handed out whenever certain vaccinations are given. Please visit this section of the Immunization Action Coalition web site and pick the disease and language you need.
To review comprehensive information about a specific disease and the vaccine that prevents it including photos and/or video footage, as well as true stories of individuals who have suffered or died from the disease, please visit the vaccine information section of the Immunization Action Coalition web site.
The mission of the Immunization Action Coalition (IAC) is to boost immunization rates and prevent disease. This site is the nation's premier source of childhood, adolescent, and adult immunization information. Due to its close collaboration with the CDC and the funding they provide, IAC has been able to create, find, and distribute the most complete, up-to-date, and accurate supply and listing of immunization and hepatitis B resources available anywhere.
