  1. What is our main Cancer Center telephone number?
    A:

  2. What is our current process to become a new patient in Medical Oncology and Hematology?
    A:
    • A call rings into the Cancer Call Center.
    • Agent checks patients demographics, insurance and disease type. (Pt must have a positive diagnosis of cancer and be ready for Chemotherapy when being referred).
    • Agent prepares NEW PT REQUEST and sends an email to Medical Oncology/Hematology to start processing.
    • New Pt coordinator calls the patient within 24 to 48 hours and informs the patient on what is required to become a New Patient in Medical Oncology/Hematology.
    • A face sheet is created with all the patients information and if the patient is an internal referral, the records are either faxed from the referring department or pulled from Power chart and then the package is presented to the Physician for authorization for an appointment.
    • Once approval is obtained, the package is given to scheduling department for a New Patient appointment.
  3. Where do I refer a patient who needs to schedule an appointment for a wig-fitting?
