Nursing Evidence Based- Practice and Research Department

Vision Statement

OUR VISION is to encourage nurses’ participation in evidence-based practice and nursing research activities, including translation of best practices into our service settings, review, utilization, and the conduct of research studies. It is through the translation and dissemination of research that optimal patient outcomes are achieved. A strategic component of this is the Nursing Research Council that promotes organization wide evidence-based practice activities and multi-disciplinary research based practice.

I believe in importance of mentoring and aiding in the growth and development of nurses.  It is our goal to assist students, nursing staff in the pursuit of evidence-based practice and enthusiastically guide them as they develop both projects and their personal and professional goals.  We must stimulate an environment of curiosity  raising new questions, considering new possibilities using creativity and imagination as we move nursing forward.

Although the role of nursing has evolved to embrace innovation and evidence-based practice, the focus of patient-centered care remains the same. We continue to cultivate the culture of innovation and inquiry, to promote the advancement of nursing excellence and quality of care through the development of evidence-based practice. I am excited to guide and provide our nurses with the opportunities to shine and showcase their innovative thinking.
