Compliance Hotline
Members of the research community may report a compliance concern related to research in two ways:
- Regular calls: Contact the Research Compliance Manager in Human Research & Compliance at 909-558-9408 or extension 49408. You may also send an email to: jmendivel@llu.edu
- Anonymous calls: Call the Employee Compliance Reporting Line at 800-249-9953. This dedicated line is available to accept anonymous reports 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The Compliance Reporting Line is administered by a third-party service. Anonymous reports will NOT be traced back to the caller. When reporting research non-compliance, please provide as much detail as possible, so we are able to thoroughly investigate your concern.
What should be reported:
- Research misconduct (fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism in the proposing, performing, reviewing of research or in the reporting of research results)
- Violation of human subject protections
- Compliance concerns related to the use of animals
- Conflict of interest (financial or commitment)
- Misuse of research funds
- Breaches of electronic protected health information (ePHI)
These all constitute violations of research-related policies and procedures. These policies have been put into place as part of a larger, corporate compliance plan to protect the institution and its employees. A copy of the corporate compliance plan can be accessed via the Intranet VIP Page.
Compliance is EVERYONE’s responsibility. All employees, contractors, and/or agents have an obligation to report any actions they believe may be violations of research policies & procedures.
