2021
Karen Joya, RN is one of our EBP fellows from PICU and the grant for $2000 will support her
evidence-based practice project looking at delirium screening and prevention in the pediatric
ICU.
The NICU EBP team was awarded $500 for their discharge education board for parents preparing
to take their infants home.
Unit 7100 was also awarded $750 for their video project providing pre-surgical education to
patients undergoing elective CABG (this filled a gap left by visitor restrictions due to COVID as
pre-surgical tours had to be canceled) which we hope will help patients decreasing their anxiety
related to major surgery.
