Clinical Nurse B (CN-B)
Stage: “Advanced Beginner”

Definition: A CN-B is considered an Advanced Beginner. This registered nurse must meet orientation objectives and receive a satisfactory introductory evaluation. This nurse has coped with a variety of experiences to note meaningful components. Further, this nurse is efficient and skilled in parts of the practice area, requiring occasional supportive cues. Knowledge is developing and nurses can benefit from the guidance and support of a nurse mentor.
The CN-B level may include:
- Registered nurses with a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience and a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
