Information About Vanpool

To be considered for the vanpool program, each vanpool must be a vehicle occupied by 5 or more commuters who meet at a common location and travel to and from work together. Employees drive a leased van and pay a monthly “seat” fee to cover the lease.
Employees who vanpool together may work at the same work location or different locations, the same entities or different entities.
Incentives
Loma Linda University Health offers incentives to employees who vanpool to work together. Incentives include:
- $50 reimbursement toward the cost of the monthly vanpool seat (remaining vanpool costs can be paid with pre-tax dollars for tax savings)
- Preferred vanpool parking (if available in your assigned parking lots)
- Quarterly raffles exclusive to rideshare members
- Guaranteed ride home
Qualifications
Vanpool is open to both full and part-time employees. Each month, employees can choose the number of times they wish to commute via vanpool. The monthly seat fee is standard whether the employee decides to vanpool once a week or every day.
