The Oley Foundation is a national, independent, non-profit organization that provides up-to-date information, outreach services, conference activities, and emotional support for people who use enteral and parenteral nutrition, and their families, caregivers and professionals.

The Painted Turtle is an organization that offers innovative Camp Programs to children with serious medical conditions and their families free of charge. Applicants must submit an application packet and be approved to attend the camp program. Visit the web site for further information or call the number above.
Roles of the PN/VAD Nurse Clinician
- Provide orientation and education regarding PN and central vascular access device (CVAD) to medical staff
- Provide PN and CVAD training on home management for patients that will be discharged
- Coordinate PN patient’s discharge to home, assisted by unit case manager
- Follow Home PN patients in outpatient PN clinic. Provide on-call service to assist with home delivery system. Please contact PN RN to obtain PN program of patients admitted to the hospital who are on PN at home. PN programs obtained from previous hospitalizations may not be updated/ current. Will verify with pharmacist the correct program
- Repair central lines (Hickman, Broviac)
- Recommend Ethanol Lock therapy
- PN RN may assist with recommendations for the use of catheter clearing agents
