- The "To Do List" was provided to all attendees of the Service Best Practice Summit on June 1, 2017.
- The list clearly provides next steps for all leaders and dates when the items should be completed.
- Immediately, we want to begin right away clearing our calendars for Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-3pm to be dedicated to Leader Rounding on Staff. (The official start on the "To Do List" is July 11, 2017)
- If you are not available on Tuesday and Wednesday, please select another day and hour with which to round.
- All leaders with supervisory capacity should round on staff.
- Please use the leader rounding tool (direct patient care | indirect patient care) provided at the Summit and this page. If the tool does not have enough room for notes, feel free to change the format, please keep the questions the same.
- All Leaders will keep a log for rounding which we will make available to our one-up for our monthly status updates.
- Nursing and Physicians are focused on the NRC Nurse/Physician Communication questions.
- For ancillary/support (Direct Patient Care Areas) you may want to align with nursing goals as we are one team creating the patient/family experience.
- For Non-Direct Patient Care departments, you want to decide who your primary customer is and find your biggest opportunities for improvement and create the best goal that would effect change in a positive way from your customer's perspective. (Feel free to round on your customers to find your best goal for the year.)
