Messages from Nursing Leadership

Loma Linda University Health Hospitals

"The best and the most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched.  They must be felt with the heart.” Helen Keller   At Loma Linda University Health, we provide care that is felt with the heart and I am so proud and grateful to be part of the Loma Linda University Health family.  Each day  I witness high performing teams working together to provide family-centered care in an environment that allows our patients, families, visitors, staff and physicians  to have a voice that is heard, listened to and  respected. Excellent patient care happens when nursing staff have the education, the needed staff, incorporates research and applying the evidence, at the center of their decisions.

Looking to the Future, "For us who Nurse, our Nursing is a thing, which, unless in it we are making progress every year, every month, every week, take my word for it we are going back. The more experience we gain, the more progress we can make. Let us never consider ourselves finished nurses....we must be learning all of our lives“ Florence Nightingale.

I am honored to work with each one of you as we live our mission.

At Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital we are dedicated to creating a Healing. Healthy. Happy. environment for our patients and families.  As health care professionals we embrace our core values by providing quality care through Evidence-Based Practice and research.

As we look to the future I am proud to be part of a team that embraces whole person care.  We not only care for our patient’s physical well-being but support the spiritual, emotional, and psychosocial aspects of the women and children that we serve.

“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.”  — Nelson Mandela, Former President of South Africa.
