Ergonomic Resources for Safety Coordinators
- Ergonomic Assessment
- Back Safety Class
- Back Preventative Exercise - PREVENTATIVE exercises to improve your back strength & stability.
- Upper Back/Shoulder Preventative Exercise - PREVENTATIVE exercises to improve shoulder/upper back strength & stability.
- Computer Ergonomics - To prevent back pain while working at a desk, use the attached document “Computer Workstation Guidelines” to make sure your desk setup is ergonomically correct.
- Pre Work and During Work Stretches - Sit and stand stretch routines for individuals/teams: Deskercise (llu.edu)
- General Health - Fitness is typically a factor in back pain. Take advantage of LLUH’s Wholeness Health Plan to assess your fitness and determine a plan to improve in 2023.
- Drayson Center - Take advantage of your free employee membership to the Drayson Center. Specifically for musculoskeletal pain prevention, there are yoga, Pilates and balance/stability classes here. There are also online classes here. The online yoga classes are a great pre and post work stretch/warmup routine.
- Self-Serve Ergonomic Resources - Stretches, Ergonomic Setup Guidelines, Food Service Guidelines, etc. (more to come later in 2023!)
