Project Background
Prior to the decision to purchase and implement LLEAP, much due diligence was done by Executive Oversight and Executive Steering Committee members. As part of that process, various members of the Leadership Team worked with clinical and revenue cycle stakeholders to define various “pain points” for our patients in accessing and receiving care at Loma Linda. View the flow chart identifying “pain points” for Patient Access.
In our current state, we have many disparate legacy systems for managing revenue cycle and clinical operations. Our vision is to have a single platform to support patient-centered care and seamless patient access, reduce system fragmentation, improve quality and patient safety and provide cost effective care.
The due diligence related to the automation platform required to support the vision determined that the existing vendors did not possess the tools to support the integration strategies which led to the recommendation of the Epic Software system.
