Jana Boyd

Jana Boyd, PhD, LMFT, Program Director

Jana has over 20 yrs of experience working with individuals and couples, and especially loves her work with Loma Linda University Health employees and students. She is particularly interested in the relationship between spiritual and emotional health and the influence of culture on relational dynamics. She has three teenage+ children and enjoys living in the mountains.


Davidia Benavidez

Davidia Benavidez, MS, LMFT

Davidia loves the value of wholeness and enjoys journeying with clients to support them through life’s difficult moments. Davidia has worked with children and families, individuals and couples, and has additional training in Restoration Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Family Life Education, and human and organizational development. In her more playful moments, you can usually find her doing barre or yoga, dining out, and hanging with family and friends.


John Jacob, PhD, LEP, AMFT

John Jacob, PhD, LEP, AMFT

John's background includes prior work as an educational psychologist focused on creating interventions to address academic failure and performance challenges. John now primarily uses a Collaborative Learning Model and a Solution Focused Orientation to help clients apply what they've unknowingly learned from their own lived experience, to craft the life they dream of. He enjoys doing couple work and is passionate about premarital counseling. He has interest in how faith and spirituality impact mental health (particularly anxiety and depression).


Miss-​Kimille Richardson

Miss-​Kimille Richardson, MS, AMFT, APCC

Miss-Kimille serves to promote a safe space for healing and instruct clients on how to incorporate methods learned in session to their lives. She has experience working with individuals, couples, families and children. Miss-Kimille’s strengths-based practices include but are not limited to Person-Centered Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She enjoys working with all people of different ages, diverse backgrounds, clinical concerns and life circumstances. Miss-Kimille enjoys all aspects of holistic health like physical fitness, yoga and meditation, cooking/baking, music, and overall time spent worshipping God.


Sean Roche, PsyD

Sean Roche, PsyD

Sean is passionate about collaborating with students to address the challenges that may be preventing them from thriving at LLU. He enjoys working with individuals who have been impacted by trauma, anxiety, depression, stress and relationship conflict. In therapy, Sean seeks to create a brave and connected space where students can grow in self-awareness and self-compassion. When not at work, you can find Sean strumming a ukulele while wandering a hillside trail with friends and family.


Margarita Rodriguez

Margarita Rodriguez, MS, LMFT

Margarita is a bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist committed to helping motivated individuals and couples regain a sense of hope that is found in Jesus Christ.  Margarita utilizes a variety of modalities including Biblical concepts, EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Client Centered approaches to support her clients.  Margarita has experience with eating disorders and is ready to support with management of symptoms after treatment.  Margarita values her time in God’s Word, spending time with family, sugar-free baking, and staying fit/healthy.


Stephanie Sonn

Stephanie Sonn, MS, LMFT

Stephanie holds firmly to the belief that everyone is created beautifully and uniquely and that this truth cannot be changed or marred because it is the cornerstone of our human identify. Stephanie has over a decade of experience working as a therapist, is trained in EMDR, and has worked in all levels of substance use treatment, including withdrawal management (detox), residential, PHP/IOP, and aftercare. In her free time, Stephanie loves connecting with friends and family and finding beauty in the world - particularly through art, design, nature, and travel.


Margarita Rodriguez

Marion Swenson, MS, LMFT

While Marion works well with individuals and couples, she especially enjoys working with students and women and has great insight into cross-cultural issues. She also has a certificate in substance abuse treatment. Marion has 4 grown children and a wealth of life experience to bring to her work.


Zachary Wyman

Zachary Wyman, MS, LMFT

Zach has a background working with individuals, couples, and families in general counseling but he also has specialized training and experience working with adolescents with autism and their families.  Zach works primarily from the theoretical orientation of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy which focuses on using mindfulness practices, values clarification, and taking valued action.  Zach and his wife especially enjoy desert camping.
