Our Purpose
Both Loma Linda University Medical Center and Children’s Hospital have completed their journey to Magnet-designation. Magnet-designation is the ultimate recognition for nursing excellence awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). This distinction represents both hospital’s ability to provide excellent patient care, quality outcomes and outstanding patient satisfaction.
Magnet Highlights
- Loma Linda University Medical Center was the first hospital in the United States to have a virtual site visit during COVID-19 restrictions.
- Both Loma Linda University Medical Center and Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital are the only Magnet designated hospitals in the San Bernardino County.
- Less than 10% of hospitals in the world have achieved Magnet recognition.
