Contractors or Vendors
On July 26, 2021, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) ordered that the vaccination status of all health care workers must be verified. On August 5, 2021, CDPH ordered that health care workers must have their first vaccine dose of a one-dose regimen or their second dose of a two-dose regimen by September 30, 2021. This order was amended on December 22, 2021 to make boosters mandatory for all healthcare workers currently eligible for boosters. Those workers currently eligible for booster doses must receive their booster dose no later than February 1, 2022. Workers not yet eligible for boosters must be in compliance no later than 15 days after the recommended time frame for receiving a booster. On September 13, 2022 the California Department of Public Health announced that effective September 17, 2022, they were ending COVID-19 policies that required weekly COVID-19 testing. Workers and their supervisors will no longer be required to obtain testing supplies, labels, and submit test specimens. Workers are still required to be vaccinated, unless a medical exemption or religious exception has been granted. Loma Linda University Health operates state-licensed hospitals and clinics, and as such, we must comply with all California Department of Public Health requirements.
Contractors
- You, the contractor, are responsible for bringing yourself into compliance with the state’s COVID 19 mandate
- Supervisors of known contractors must ensure that they are compliant.
Vendors
- Vendors coming onsite will be required to do one of the following:
- Vendors should report their Immunizations record through Vendormate similar to how they report TB Tests.
- The department working with the vendor is responsible for ensuring that the vendor has met the vaccine requirement.
