Cybersecurity tip of the month: ignore texts from unknown numbers

Be cybersafe and ignore “hi, how are you?” texts from unknown numbers. Scammers use this tactic to start a conversation, so do not text back. The best ways to avoid scams if you’re getting texts from numbers you do not recognize are to:
- Never reply
- Never click links in messages from unknown senders
- Do not trust anyone who says you can quickly and easily make money
- And never share one-time login codes you receive via text message
