Author Kate Bowler to speak at bioethics convocation February 2

Come hear author Kate Bowler, PhD, author of the book Everything Happens for a Reason (And Other Lies I’ve Loved) at the Center for Christian Bioethics Evening Convocation, Friday, February 2 at 6 p.m. at the Loma Linda University Church.
This event is free, and no registration is required.
Bowler is a professor at Duke University, a podcast host, and a New York Times bestselling author who writes about Christian religious movements and philosophies.
Bowler’s book Blessed: A History of the American Prosperity Gospel received widespread media attention. At age 35, she was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, causing her to examine the personal and intellectual dimensions of the belief that all tragedies are tests of character.
