Upcoming Social Security 101 online workshops

This applies to MC, CH, BMC, MC-M, SS, LLU, UHC and HEC employees.

Employees are invited to attend a Social Security 101 online workshop that will highlight the basics regarding benefits related to retirement, disability, Medicare, and more.

Two online sessions are available for employees to attend:

  • Monday, January 30, from 1-2:30 p.m.
    • Access the workshop by clicking the Zoom link
       
  • Thursday, February 2, from 9:30-11 a.m.
    • Access the workshop by clicking the Zoom link

The workshops will be presented by Teresa Campbell, public affairs specialist at the Social Security Administration’s San Bernardino regional office.

Workshop topics of discussion include:

  • Age of eligibility for retirement benefits
  • The future of Social Security
  • How to maximize benefits
  • The impact of early retirement on benefits
  • Qualifications for disability, survivor, or spouse benefits
  • When to file for Medicare

Employees are invited to create a My Social Security account and print out their Social Security statement before attending.
