Upcoming February Social Security 101 online workshops

Employees are invited to attend a Social Security 101 online workshop that will highlight the basics regarding benefits related to retirement, disability, Medicare, and more.

Two online sessions are available for employees to attend in February:

  • Wednesday, February 7, from 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, February 13, from 9:30-11 a.m.

The workshops will be presented by Teresa Campbell, public affairs specialist at the Social Security Administration’s San Bernardino regional office.

Workshop topics of discussion include:

  • Age of eligibility for retirement benefits
  • The future of Social Security
  • How to maximize benefits
  • The impact of early retirement on benefits
  • Qualifications for disability, survivor, or spouse benefits
  • When to file for Medicare

Employees are invited to create a My Social Security account and print out their Social Security statement before attending.
