Upcoming April Social Security 101 online workshops

This applies to MC, CH, BMC, MC-M, SS, LLU, UHC, FMG and HEC employees.
Employees are invited to attend a Social Security 101 online workshop that will highlight the basics regarding benefits related to retirement, disability, Medicare, and more.
Two online sessions are available for employees to attend in April:
· Monday, April 3, from 1-2 p.m.

The workshops will be presented by Teresa Campbell, public affairs specialist at the Social Security Administration’s San Bernardino regional office.
Workshop topics of discussion include:
· Age of eligibility for retirement benefits
· The future of Social Security
· How to maximize benefits
· The impact of early retirement on benefits
· Qualifications for disability, survivor, or spouse benefits
· When to file for Medicare
Employees are invited to create a My Social Security account and print out their Social Security statement before attending.
