Telephone cleaning

Please help to maintain the functionality of desktop phones and avoid unnecessary replacements by using the following cleaning methods:
-
Do not use disinfectant wipes or soap and water to clean desktop phones. Excessive moisture can damage the components.
-
Only use small alcohol pads to clean phones or other desktop components like keyboards, a computer mouse, or headsets.
Using the wrong wipes can cause significant damage to the dial pads and handsets. This can result in non-functional hook switches, meaning the phone will only work through the hands-free speaker. In some cases, the phones may stop working altogether. Additionally, when phones are too damaged, PCs lose connection if they share the port.
Please ensure that only the small, single-use alcohol wipes from Central Supply are used to avoid damage.
