Spiritual Integration Hour event – April 29

You’re invited to join the upcoming Spiritual Integration Hour event via Zoom on Monday, April 29 at noon. This installment, Pieces of Myself: The Pedagogical Power of a Narrative Medicine Assignment, will be presented by Dr. Jeffrey Gang, associate professor at the School of Religion. This presentation examines how a first-person illness narrative assignment in a religion course on spiritual care enhances students' grasp of patient care, promoting increased self-awareness, empathy, and the development of their professional identities. Attendees will explore the crucial role of narrative medicine in cultivating compassionate, patient-focused healthcare professionals. Click here to view the event flyer.

The Spiritual Integration Hour series is held by the School of Behavioral Health and integrates faith/religion/spirituality and the social sciences. Please visit the website for more information about the series.
