Internet Explorer 11 to be discontinued in February

The web browser known as Internet Explorer (IE) 11 will be discontinued and removed from your Windows-based computer in February 2023. IE 11 is being discontinued in favor of a more secure and updated web browser known as Edge.
Most Windows computers are already using Edge. Therefore, your computer should already re-direct you to the Edge browser if you attempt to open IE 11. If you do not see Edge installed on your computer, please contact the LLU Help Desk (ext. 48611) for academic users or the Service Desk (ext. 48889) for clinical and shared services.
Internet Explorer is not secure and is no longer supported by Microsoft. In addition, the IE 11 browser cannot present modern websites with newer security protocols.
In the rare case that a website or service you access must have IE 11, a compatibility mode for this available in Microsoft Edge. Again, you may contact Information Services support for assistance.
