SUBJECT: COVID-19 Emergency Alert
Dear Colleagues,
Our Leadership Team at FMG and LLUHC is carefully monitoring and developing a plan to address the growing concerns around the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We are prioritizing the wellness of our society, patients, employees and providers and have created an action plan. We are taking immediate actions to limit the potential exposure and spread of COVID-19 in our clinics.
We are taking the following actions effective Tuesday, March 17th, 2020:
- All elective, non-urgent, procedures are being cancelled and rescheduled for a later date
- Many clinic visits are being converted to telephone or video visit encounters—and new visit types are being created for both video and telephone encounters.
- All clinics should begin contacting scheduled appointments for the weeks of March 16th and March 23rd to inform them of the changes. Patients will also be notified of these changes via SMS texting, televox, MyChart messaging and phone calls.
- Lab and Radiology appointments are restricted to urgent medical needs only
We are asking that patients be prioritized for a virtual encounter (phone, e-visit or video visit) but recognize some patients and clinics will require more in-person evaluations.
