COVID-19 Vaccine
Loma Linda University Health anticipates receiving a limited supply of the new COVID-19 vaccine next week.
Based upon quantities available, Loma Linda University Health leadership is working on a phased roll-out plan of vaccinations. Since the vaccine is currently approved under an emergency use authorization it will not be mandatory at this time. Frontline healthcare professionals in COVID-19 care areas will be among the first to be offered the vaccine. Preliminary reports are showing that this vaccine is safe and effective, and we would like to encourage those offered this option to strongly consider it.
Employees will be contacted by their leadership directly when vaccines are available to their area.
